"I was completely hooked on this book [Bitter Disappointments] from the very first page. The author has an incredible talent for writing, realistic dialogue, allowing the conversations and the characters' inner thoughts to drive the story forward. It made the entire cast feel like people I already know in real life.
For a book with a serious topic, it [The Narcissist's Friend] is also surprisingly funny. As I read, I couldn’t help but think of a toxic person I had to deal with in my own life. Someone who had publicly criticized my hard work the very first time we spoke. Reading about the character Craig helped me make sense of that frustrating dynamic. It validated my choice to avoid that person and took away the guilt I used to feel. The book never drags".
